Stephen Sondheim’s provocative musical about successful and failed assassins of Presidents of the United States. Originally produced Off-Broadway, Assassins was supposed to receive its Broadway debut in 2001, but that production was put on hold due to the events of September 11th. (via)

Design Brief: This small scale, low budget version of Assassins was one where it was important for the different time periods that the characters inhabited to read, but not be so visually distinct from one another that they did not blend into the overall scheme of the show or look odd when characters from different times interacted. ~KM
